Finally I can show you a spectrum. It’s a HeNe laser beam scatterred from a steel surface, and background removed. In the heat of working I was not able to come up with any other setup where the spectrum peak would not go over the range.
I wonder if the peak will be narrower with proper optics or even with a suitable aperture blocking stray light?
